Excellence in Education Right From the Start Our Mission Our mission is to provide a rewarding and positive learning environment for our students through staff and student teamwork. Our primary emphasis is to strive to help instill in each student: Positive self esteem; Positive attitudes toward learning; Positive forms of behavior and social interactions; Positive experiences in academic pursuits; and Positively a love of learning! The program at Fairview Country Day School is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children. It provides experiences that enrich and enhance each child's cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical and creative development. Within the school's daily schedule, each child has opportunities to create, explore the environment, learn problem solving, learn personal interaction skills, and learn concepts through hands-on experiences. Children develop a positive self-concept through a balance of self-directed and teacher directed activities. Opportunities for solitary play as well as group activities are provided. Teachers serve as positive role models and provide care that is supportive, nurturing, warm and responsive to each child's individual needs.
